Welcome to Skayter Dean—where care meets serenity.
Nestled in a serene setting in High Point, North Carolina, our home offers a welcoming space for adults living with mental illness.
We understand how important peace and calm are for our residents. Our living spaces offer room to relax, enjoy conversation, and feel a sense of belonging. We want each person who comes through our doors to feel welcomed, respected, and at home.
Here in our dining room, sharing meals creates opportunities to connect and enjoy time together.
Our kitchen is also a place for learning. We encourage residents to participate in preparing meals, explore favorite recipes, and build everyday cooking skills.
With guidance and encouragement, these familiar routines can help residents develop confidence and greater independence, one step at a time.
At Skayter Dean, our support goes beyond providing a place to live.
We offer around-the-clock supervision, assistance with daily living, medication support, and help coordinating appointments and transportation.
Through peer support and individualized services, we help residents work toward their personal goals. We take time to understand what matters to each person and encourage them to take an active role in their recovery.
As we move into the bedrooms, you’ll see spaces where residents can rest, recharge, and make themselves comfortable.
We recognize the importance of privacy, personal space, and having a place to unwind.
Our approach balances helpful structure with individual choice. Whether someone is learning a new skill, establishing a routine, or working toward a larger goal, we meet them with patience and encouragement.
